2040 Transportation and Development Plan for Southwestern Pennsylvania Adopted June 2011 The 2040 Transportation and Development Plan, or 2040 Plan, is an update of the 2035 Transportation and Development Plan for Southwestern Pennsylvania (2035 Plan).  The 2035 Plan was developed as a mechanism for connecting the region’s vision to an official, coordinated implementation program of projects and actions. The 2035 Plan was developed through an unprecedented community engagement process called Project Region. Project Region was led by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, and was conducted in partnership with a wide range of other public, private and non-profit organizations.  This unprecedented planning process was used as the backbone and basis for the 2040 Update. Este plan es una estrategia a largo plazo (más de 20 años), desarrollado para destinar de forma eficaz la inversión de los fondos públicos en instalaciones de transporte multimodal dentro del contexto de la visión regional. El plan regional se actualiza cada cuatro años mediante consultas con las partes interesadas.

Plan régional des transports à long terme

Le plan est une stratégieà long terme  (plus de 20 ans) élaborée afin de guider un investissement efficace des fonds publics dans les infrastructures de transport intermodales dans le cadre de la vision régionale. Il fournit la base à partir de laquelle le programme d'amélioration des transports de la région et et un programme d'amélioration du capital pour la mise en œuvre des projets de transport, est établi. Le plan régional est mis à jour tous les quatre ans en consultation avec les parties intéressées.
