Ryan joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2007. As the Manager of Transportation Program Development, he oversees the daily activities of our transportation program to ensure that the planning initiatives support the 10 county region. He works in collaboration with our counties, municipalities, and external stakeholders to ensure that all of our transportation planning activities support their vision. Additionally, Ryan manages the region’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which plans for transportation projects on a four year basis, and the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) which plans for future transportation projects on a 25 year cycle. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science from Western Kentucky University, and a Master in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
