Cathy joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2014. As the Manager of Environmental Programs, she is responsible for our organization’s Water Resource Center and the planning, programming and outreach that it provides. The Water Resource Center is a program that our organization provides to counties, municipalities, and external stakeholders and supports them on issues like stormwater management, flooding concerns, drinking water, sewer systems/wastewater, and water quality. Additionally, Cathy is also the Project Manager on our region’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant, and works closely with county planning partners on required state plans like Act 167, Act 537, and Hazard Mitigation. She is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), a Stormwater Permit Inspector and a Tableau Desktop Specialist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Slippery Rock University, and is currently earning a Master of Public Administration degree from Ohio University.
