Ronda Craig

Public Involvement Coordinator

Ronda joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2017. As the Public Involvement Coordinator, Ronda is responsible for conducting outreach and building relationships with community members, stakeholders, and organizations throughout the region. Our organization is responsible for the region’s Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). As part of these plans which get drafted and updated on a reoccurring basis, our organization is federally mandated to hold public comment periods and public meetings. Ronda plans and coordinates the public meetings in support of these plans. She is passionate about connecting communities and has revamped our organization’s outreach efforts that support the public participation program. She works closely with the public participation panelists—to ensure that each county (and the City of Pittsburgh)—have voices that are representative of their communities on our panels. By having holistic representation on public panels, planners can better understand the unique transit and infrastructure needs that communities in our region have. Ronda also serves as our organization’s ADA coordinator. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
