Zach joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2023. As an Operations & Safety Planner, he responsible for managing our organization’s Geographic Information System (GIS) that is able to pull data and other relevant information for the congestion management process. He also produces and advises on Road Safety Audits that counties, municipalities, and townships will request our organization to conduct. Road Safety Audits inform government entities and other external stakeholders what portion of their roads are safe and what areas might need improvement. He has both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography (with a concentration in Geotechnology/GIS/Environmental Tract) and a Master of Science degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
